Good Friday Services 4.3.26

Apr 3, 2026    Pastor Paul Newhall

This Good Friday, we invite you into a powerful and immersive worship experience unlike our typical Sunday gathering. Through a dramatic presentation, the service will unfold in a series of “Acts,” drawing us step by step into the story of the cross and into an encounter with Simon of Cyrene—the man unexpectedly called from the crowd to carry what was never his to bear. The sanctuary will be intentionally stripped down, the choir will begin as storytellers and then become part of the crowd, and the narrative will move with weight and purpose toward the hill of Golgotha. This is not simply a message to hear, but a moment to witness—to feel the tension, the sorrow, and the profound grace at the center of the story. As the service closes with a simple, unaccompanied “He Never Said a Mumblin Word,” we invite you to reflect on where you find yourself in the story… and what it means to carry the cross.
