MISSIONS

At Wesley United Methodist Church, we are called to serve others and share God’s love through meaningful mission work. Our missions span locally, nationally, and worldwide, combining financial contributions and hands-on involvement to make a lasting impact. Whether through direct action in our community or supporting efforts across the globe, we strive to be the hands and feet of Christ, offering hope and assistance where it’s needed most.

  • Local Missions: We partner with organizations like the Salvation Army, Loaves & Fishes, Habitat for Humanity of McDonough County, and the Good Food Collaborative to address needs in our community. From feeding the hungry to building homes, we strive to make a difference right here at home.
  • National Missions: Through United Methodist initiatives and disaster relief programs, we lend a helping hand to communities across the country, offering hope and assistance during times of crisis.
  • Worldwide Missions: We support global efforts to fight poverty, provide clean water, improve education, and share the Gospel through our connectional United Methodist Church mission programs.

Wesley UMC Camp Scholarship Application

Wesley United Methodist Church believes in the value of summer camp experiences for personal growth, learning, and community building. To support our youth, we offer camp scholarships to help cover the cost of attending both faith-based and non-faith-based camps, including Illinois Great Rivers Conference camps, Scout camps, and other summer programs.

  • Wesley UMC youth who are active participants may receive up to $350 toward their camp fees.
  • Friends of Wesley youth attending camp with them may receive up to $350 in scholarship assistance.

To apply, please complete the online application and provide details about the camp you plan to attend. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so early applications are encouraged!

We are excited to help make camp a reality for our youth and their friends!
