Macomb Wesley UMC Blue Christmas

Dec 22, 2024    Pastor Don Long Jr.

Welcome to our Blue Christmas service at Wesley United Methodist Church. This special service offered a time of quiet reflection and hope for those experiencing grief, loss, or hardship during the holiday season.

Pastors Don and Melly lit the Advent candles, marking this time of waiting and anticipation while acknowledging the pain that some may carry during this season. Pastor Don shared the Message of Hope titled "There is Light in Our Darkness", offering comfort and reminding us that, even in our darkest moments, Christ is the light that shines through.

The congregation participated in a meaningful act of remembrance, lighting a candle in honor of loved ones who have passed.

We sang hymns of peace and hope, including:

🎶 "Be Still, My Soul"

🎶 "In the Bleak Mid-Winter"

🎶 "It Is Well With My Soul"

The scripture for the service was from John 1:6-14, reminding us that the light of Christ came into the world, bringing hope to all who walk in darkness.

Thank you for joining us for this reflective service. We pray that, no matter where you find yourself this holiday season, you may experience the peace and light of Christ in your heart.
