Macomb Wesley UMC Traditional Christmas Eve Service
Welcome to our Christmas Eve Traditional Candlelight Service at Wesley United Methodist Church! On this special night, we gathered to celebrate the birth of our Savior with joy and reverence. The Merritt Family lit the Advent candles, marking the culmination of the Advent season as we awaited the arrival of Christ.
Pastor Don delivered the sermon titled "A Weary World Rejoices", reflecting on the hope and joy that the birth of Jesus brings to a world in need of peace.
The scripture readings for the service were from Isaiah 9:6-7 and Luke 2:9-14, telling the powerful story of the promised Savior and the angel's announcement to the shepherds.
We were blessed with beautiful music throughout the service:
🎶 Special Music: "O Holy Night" by Alfonzo Cooper, Jr. D.M.A.
🎶 Hymns: "O Come, All Ye Faithful," "Silent Night"
🎶 Wesley Ringers: "Mary, Did You Know?"
🎶 Sanctuary Choir: "Coventry Carol"
As the Christ Candle was lit and the light of Christ was shared with all, we were reminded of the hope and love that fills our hearts on this holy night.
Thank you for joining us in worship as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World. May His peace and joy fill your hearts this Christmas season!
