Contemporary Worship Service - Week Two of Advent
Welcome to Wesley United Methodist Church's Contemporary Worship Service for December 8, the second week of Advent.
This week, the Van Dolah Family leads the Lighting of the Advent Candles, reminding us of the peace Christ brings to our lives. Pastor Don Long Jr. delivers an inspiring sermon titled "There is Peace in Our Distress", exploring how God's presence brings calm in the midst of life's challenges.
Join us as we worship with uplifting songs by the Praise Band:
"Light of the World (Sing Hallelujah)"
"Hark the Herald Angels Sing"
"Come Thou Long Expected Jesus"
"I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day"
"Glory (Let There Be Peace)"
The New Testament lesson for today is from Luke 1:26-38, where the angel Gabriel announces to Mary the miraculous birth of Jesus. May this service bring you peace and hope as we prepare our hearts for Christmas.
